Personal Note
At 26, Kozelouzek owned and operated New York City’s trendy 185-seat Dish Restaurant with Daisy Fuentes. An influential businesswoman is not just someone who excels in her own industry, but someone who strives to improve the field and pave the way for others who plan to follow a similar trajectory, Laura Kozelouzek believes.
That person becomes a businesswoman of influence by actively finding ways and opportunities to mentor, educate, and share past experiences with interested and invested audiences. For her part, Kozelouzek has found a greater purpose in her business than merely providing office space. She is able to be a problem solver and find resolutions for many of her clients’ needs. Her passion inspires innovation and is contagious within the organization.
“This passion, which turns into excitement and enthusiasm, has been the tipping point on many of our greatest accomplishments, including closing multimillion-dollar leases, negotiating contracts and attracting exceptional clients and team members,” she says.
Through vision and perseverance, she has dreamed big, while having a realistic game plan to make that dream a reality, she says. She sets high expectations, but is in tune with when change is necessary to ensure everyone is aligned and on target to one goal. And she realizes obstacles will come.
“I see any challenge as a tiny road bump,” she says. “I credit my success to a culmination of many peaks and valleys, and I have learned many lessons along the way. Situations do not always turn out as planned, but every circumstance is conquerable and a teachable moment.”
