Quest Workspaces has generously offered to match donations up to $10,000 made to the American Red Cross to support the relief efforts for the victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.
“The island is in a state of crisis and this has hit home for several of us personally, as many of our team members and Questers come from the island or have family still located there,” says Laura Kozelouzek, Quest Founder and CEO.
Vanessa Lopez, a Client Services Coordinator at Quest’s 1395 Brickell Avenue location, was born and raised in Puerto Rico. According to her family back home, many people in the center of the island, in the mountains, haven’t received any help at all. Many bridges have fallen down, leaving people to find ways to cross the river on their own. The whole island has no power and many of the hospitals are starting to run out of their emergency power supply.
“People are basically trapped,” Lopez says, “Every time I buy a cup of coffee, I cannot help but think about if my family has eaten today.”
In South Florida, we were extremely fortunate to have had minimal to no damage due to Hurricane Irma so we feel compelled to help those that were affected so severely. We are rallying our Quest team, Questers and all of our friends to donate what they can to the Puerto Rico relief effort as every penny counts! If you wish to participate in our matching donation program, please visit our Crowdrise page or the Quest website.
