LAURA KOZELOUZEK
CEO, Quest Work Spaces
Miami
Laura Kozelouzek is a recognized leader and veteran of the executive office suite industry who has revolutionized the workplace culture and found a niche in commercial real estate helping small businesses “fake it until they make it.” A graduate of Cornell University School of Hotel Administration and a member of the President’s Council of Cornell Women, in 2010, she created Quest Workspaces, opening its first location in a prestigious landmark building in Miami, then expanded to four locations in Boca Raton, Coral Gables and Fort Lauderdale in less than one year. Quest successfully fills a niche for small companies looking to operate “big”, with the same luxurious corporate amenities and prestigious downtown office address.
Prior to Quest Workspaces, Kozelouzek founded Synergy Workplaces, growing the company in three years to 25 national locations, representing over 500,000 square feet and producing over 25 million in sales with over 100 employees. In 2008, Preferred Offices, founded by Chairman, Oliver T. Carr, Jr., the former Chairman of Carr America, acquired Synergy Workplace locations, stating that “it is one of the most innovative companies in the alternative workplace sector.”
Before founding Synergy, Kozelouzek spent 19 years in the commercial real estate and business services industries. As an executive at HQ/Regus, she was responsible for its most profitable region, representing 80 locations, 5,000 customers and generated $180 million in annual sales. There, she played a lead role in an industry “roll up” and consolidating the industry. Prior to HQ Global, she owned and operated a trendy 185-seat Dish Restaurant in New York City, with revenues of $2.2 million. Earlier in her career she held senior sales positions with Marriott and Hyatt Hotels, and in 2007 was named a “Commercial Real Estate Rising Star” by Real Estate Weekly magazine, as well as a finalist in the New York Enterprise Report’s “Small Business Awards” in the leadership category.
