QuestCares Responds to Harvey

Nancie Dudash, Quest’s Chief Operations Officer, didn’t think she was going to inspire a wave of business philanthropy when she sent out the Paid Time Off balances to her staff in Quest’s coworking centers.

Just imagine her surprise when Sali Saati, an operations manager, responded and asked, “”Can I donate some of my PTO hours to help the people and animals in Houston who were affected by Hurricane Harvey?”  Humbled by such a gesture, of course Nancie approved Sali’s request to donate 50 of her PTO hours at a rate of $10/hour, for a total of $500, as her contribution to QuestCares, the company’s business philanthropy program.  And Quest will be matching that donation and contributing another $500!

Sali has chosen to donate half of her PTO to  the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund for the City of Houston, and the other half of her PTO to Austin Pets Alive, a group that has already transferred more than 400+ animals from Houston shelters and individuals to the safety of comfort of Austin pet shelters and foster homes.

According to Sali, “It hurts more not to help!”  We couldn’t agree more.  Several other Questers have joined Sali in her cause by generously volunteering their PTO as well. The team has contributed a total of 80 hours all together so far.

QuestCares is all about giving back.  What better opportunity to give back then when others are hit by a disaster and need help the most? Contact us at info@questworkspaces.com if you’d like to participate in QuestCares as we join together to support the victims of Harvey.
