We have expanded exponentially since launching our first center in Brickell’s Espirito Santo Plaza to include nearly 200,000 sqft. of class-A commercial real estate in Boca Raton, Coral Gables, Doral, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, New York, Stuart, Vista Park, Wellington and West Palm Beach.
On our four-year quest, we have learned many things along the way to maintain a sustainable business that may be helpful to our fellow small business owners:
1. Expand strategically– we found greater success in building density in one region or market as opposed to spreading to multiple other cities. Research and plan the best place for expansion and learn the ins and outs of that area.
2. Form an alliance– network and align yourself and your brand with similar types of businesses even those that may be perceived as competition.
3. Focus on customer/ client retention– It costs six to seven times more to acquire a new customer. Build brand loyalty and enhance customer service without accruing too many additional costs.
